Welcome to Year 4
A very warm welcome to Year 4 from Miss Taylor and Mrs Wilson!
In Year 4 the children have the opportunity to build on their successes from their time in Year 3. They are now well into the swing of things in Key Stage 2 and looking forward to the year ahead. In Year 4 we always try our best and are not afraid to make mistakes. We have a ‘can-do’ attitude towards our work.
We will be exploring lots of exciting, engaging and interesting cross-curricular topics this year. Some of these topics will have a Creative Homework project linked them, giving us the opportunity to show our interests, strengths and talents.
Regular reading at home and school will be encouraged along with an emphasis on learning times tables and the spelling of key words - as these skills will all help greatly with the English and Maths topics in Year 4.
Miss Taylor and Mrs Wilson and the children promise to work hard so that we are able to be the best we can be!
Keep checking out our page to see what we get up to!

White Post Farm
Today we went on a big bus to White Post Farm. We had to wrap up warm as it was quite cold! When we arrived, we had a quick toilet stop then went to find lots of animals! We were ever so brave in the Reptile House - some of...
Tree House Fun!
Today we trekked in the wind and the rain and still had lots of fun exploring the Tree House on the Big Field! We worked hard to climb carefully: up, over and through, keep our balance and make it to the top, which we all managed to do, hurrah!
In Foundation, we have been having lots of fun whilst learning all about Autumn! We have hollowed out a pumpkin, made edible spiders and have been dressing up and casting spells in our Bat Cave for Halloween. On Trekking Tuesdays we have been exploring the Autumn leaves,...
Stay and Play
Lots of parents came into Foundation to join us with drawing, reading, doing puzzles, building, using the interactive whiteboard and playing with the playdough. We had a great morning!
Tennis Festival at Caunton
On Friday May 1st Year One took part in the Caunton Tennis Festival. We had great fun learning new skills and enjoyed our picnic in the sun.
