Welcome to Foundation
The children in Foundation have settled in beautifully and have made an excellent start to the new term. They are joining in with lots of exciting activities and are getting used to the routines very quickly.
We learn outside on a Tuesday and this is called 'Trekking'. When we go trekking, we care for our chickens, have a go at balancing on the trim trail, make pictures out of natural objects that we find, play games, go on minibeast hunts and get involved in other things that we would not usually do inside of the classroom. On Fridays, we visit Ravenshead Library where we change our books and listen to a story read by the Librarian.
In Foundation, we mostly learn through play, and fun, hands on, real life experiences. We are currently working on our fine motor skills, relationships with other people, sharing, speaking and listening.
