Welcome to Year 3
Hello and welcome to Year 3.
Year 3 is an exciting time for everyone as the journey through Key Stage 2 begins and the children really develop the skills of independent learning. We will, of course, be having lots of fun along the way.
Throughout the year we will be exploring many exciting, engaging and interesting cross-curricular topics which include: ‘Roots and Shoots’, Extreme Earth’, ‘Mighty Metals’, ‘Stone Age – Tribal Tales’, ‘Funny Bones’ and ‘Groovy Greeks’.
Some of the topics will have a Creative Homework project linked to them, giving the children the opportunity to showcase their interests, strengths and talents.
Regular reading at home, will reinforce the skills developed at school in order to ensure that children enjoy and understand the texts that they read. It is expected that children read at least 3 times a week at home.
Please ensure PE kits and water bottles are in school.
Mr Rich and Mrs Comins and the children promise to work hard, so that we are all able to be the best we can be!
Keep checking out our page to see what we get up to!

The children took part in a Hinduism experience on Tuesday morning. We had to take our shoes off, wash our hands and ring a bell when we entered the mock temple and we found out about Divali and lots of Hindu gods.
Easter fun in F2
