Welcome to Year 3
Hello and welcome to Year 3.
Year 3 is an exciting time for everyone as the journey through Key Stage 2 begins and the children really develop the skills of independent learning. We will, of course, be having lots of fun along the way.
Throughout the year we will be exploring many exciting, engaging and interesting cross-curricular topics which include: ‘Extreme Earth’, ‘It's All Greek to ME!’, ‘Stone Age Boy’, ‘Roots and Shoots’, and ‘Marvellous Mixtures’.
Some of the topics will have a Creative Homework project linked to them, giving the children the opportunity to showcase their interests, strengths and talents.
Regular reading at home, will reinforce the skills developed at school in order to ensure that children enjoy and understand the texts that they read.
Please ensure PE kits are in school all week. During the Spring and Summer term we will also enjoy getting active in our swimming lessons.
Mr Summers and Mrs Comins and the children promise to work hard. So that we are able to be the best we can be!
Keep checking out our page to see what we get up to!
