Welcome to Year 4
Welcome to Year 4 from Miss Nash and Mrs Wilson!
In Year 4, the children have the opportunity to build on their successes from their time in Year 3. They are now well into the swing of things in Key Stage 2 and looking forward to the year ahead. In Year 4, we always try our best, have a go and we are not afraid to make mistakes.
We will be exploring lots of exciting, engaging and interesting cross-curricular topics this year such as 'Ancient Egypt', 'Burps Bottoms and Bile' and 'Chocolate'. Some of these topics will have a Creative Homework project linked to them, giving us the opportunity to show our interests, strengths and talents.
Regular reading at home and school will be encouraged along with an emphasis on learning times tables and the spelling of key words - as these skills will all help greatly with the English and Maths topics in Year 4. Children are expected to read at least 3 times a week; tihs should be recorded in their pupil planner.
Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school and a water bottle.
Miss Nash, Mrs Wilson and the children promise to work hard so that we are able to be the best we can be!
Keep checking out our page to see what we get up to!
