Year 5 on October 18th 2017
This afternoon, Year 5 undertook various investigations into magnets. Frist of all, they identified magnets in everyday life and how they move. Then the class played around with the magnets to see what happens when different magnetic poles are put together, learning the language of attract and repel, and feeling the magnetic force. After that, they disproved that statement that, ‘All metals are magnetic’. To investigate into this, the children had great fun creating magnetic mazes. Finally, they investigated into whether the larger the magnet, the stronger it is. A fun filled afternoon of learning.
