A HUGE THANK YOU AND FAREWELL TO MR ALLEN (GARRY)

Posted on 6th February 2020

After 33 years of sterling service and dedication to the school Garry Allen is taking well-deserved retirement.

He will be sorely missed and has been such a key member of the team, unflappable and calm in any situation. In addition to keeping us safe and clean he has collected hundreds of footballs from the roof, taken part in numerous themed dress up days, swept and locked up after many a late PTA event, always with a smile.

He, Dawn and his family have had a long association with the school, his own children came here and many children have enjoyed Dawn’s creativity.

We wish him every good luck for his next adventure.

I’m sure many of you will want to show appreciation for Garry – if you would like to contribute to a collection please do so through the school office. We will be holding a special assembly shortly where we will say good bye personally and celebrate his outstanding contribution to Abbey Gates.
