December 2011 Newsletter

To all of our children who took part in “The Sleepy Shepherd” and the KS2 Carol Concert. It is so pleasing to know that over half of our KS2 children played together in the orchestra!
Thanks to your generosity we have raised over £250 for the Great Ormond Street Hospital. We will be raising further funds for GOSH over the next few months.
To James Armstrong in Y4 who was a worthy runner up in MP Mark Spencer’s recent competition to design a Christmas card- James was awarded with a selection box for his efforts.
Congratulations also to these children who have won tickets to the performance of “The Twits” following their success in the drawing competition organised by the Ravenshead Theatre Group:
Mr Hayes’ recent lunchtime poster competition was won by Aimee Whitworth who now has £5 to spend at WHSmith!
WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD…
To welcoming Mrs Kate Kitching in F2 and Mrs Kate Kibble as our Midday Team Leader. Both “Kates” have been in to school this term to ensure a smooth start to 2012.
KEEPING YOU INFORMED
We had a great response to our recent Governors’ survey during Parents’ evenings and will be sharing the results in January.
To all parents and friends of the school who have helped this term go so well – so many exciting opportunities for the children to enjoy and further their learning. We have danced, sung, climbed scary heights, ridden on trams and buses, experienced life in Roman times to name just a few … and there will be more in 2012!
