December 2013 Newsletter

To all who supported the Christmas Fair, a great event and fun too! Well done to Denielle West and her team for organising a super evening!
Further thanks to all parents who accompanied us to the Palace Theatre on Monday to see Cinderella- what a lovely way to start the festive season! Thanks to Kaye McGuire and Joy Dearden for their organisational skills!
St Peter’s Church will be holding their Nativity service on Sunday 15th December at 10.15am- all welcome and the Abbey Gates choir will be performing too. The choir will also be entertaining elderly Ravenshead residents at the “Thursday Club”-thanks to Sam Taylor, our choir leader.
You will know that we recently held an e-safety week, led by Paul Summers and Sam Taylor. Do look on our website for our guide for parents to ensure your children’s safety.

The Basketball team continue to astound- with over 40 baskets scored in their most recent games! It must be Felicity Hatton’s expert coaching from the sidelines!
We are also proud of our KS2 cross country teams-the girls came first and the boys second in the recent Gedling trials- this success means that our fastest runners will be representing Gedling in the County championships in 2014! Well done to:
Ella, Emma, Sophie, Finlay and Luke and all who took part!
We have two new midday supervisors following our recent advert-Katie Vardy and Megan Kingswood-welcome to the team!
