Surely one of the best!! The annual summer Fair was blessed with sunshine, fun and lots of people to enjoy it with! Thank you to all involved in any way - your support is much appreciated and the children are already working with us to identify how we can make Abbey Gates even better, maybe using some of the funds raised from such a great day.

I will be asking for your thoughts on the school shortly - we have an annual plan to improve the school and also a longer term three year plan - so get your thinking hats, as well as your sun hats,  on!

Sun reminder as ever that children must have a bottle of water in school. Please also apply all day sun cream before coming to school. We have lots of shaded areas in the school grounds are the children are encouraged to use them.

Speaking of the school grounds - the NGS Open Gardens raised valuable funds for charities and the visitors loved the children’s efforts - including the arts week birds, bunting and flowers! Thank you again for all of your support and to the green fingered bunch who helped us prepare.

We have entered the best school garden in Gedling competition again - let’s hope we win!

A huge well done to our Y6 children, all achieved personal bests in their KS2 SATs and we are thrilled their results!

Kate Kibble and the team pass on their thanks re the 17000 Sainsbury’s vouchers you donated - they had to count every one! The children will have lots of new lunchtime toys AND new storage sheds to keep them in!

You will receive your child’s report on Friday 19th July - I have enjoyed reading of their progress and achievements over the year.
