SILENT AUCTION

You will see from the attached that we have some wonderful “Lots” in our auction.  Huge thanks to those who have donated - this is much appreciated.
Please have a look and see if there is an item (or two!) that you would like to bid for - then simply:

• Indicate in the “Bid” column what you would pay for the item selected. (No money should be sent at this stage)
•  Return the form to school by Friday 18th May.
• We will contact the “winning bidders” after this time when payment can be made.

If you would like any further information/would like to see the Lots do please come in/phone for further details.

All monies raised will go towards the Treehouse project- we still have £1800 to go before the target is reached - nearly there!

GRAND OPENING
Speaking of the Treehouse the Y6 team leaders have planned an opening ceremony at 10am on Friday 11th May - let’s hope for good weather! A rota will then be in place so all children can have fun!

WELCOME
Rebekah Gayfer, a former pupil and trainee teacher, is to take up her post as our newest Midday Supervisor next week.  Rebekah will also be leading the children’s choir, as a member of Cantamus, she is well qualified to hit the right/high note!  We thank Catherine Beall for her unswerving enthusiasm and commitment to music at Abbey Gates - Catherine is handing over to Rebekah and has much to be proud of, including our record of being in the Top 3 every year at the Mansfield Music Festival!

WELL DONE…
To our football teams. Both the Y5 and Y6 boys’ teams are through to the semi-finals of their respective tournaments and the newly formed girls’ team came a very respectable 3rd in a recent inter-school event.  It was the first time that the girls had played together and there is much potential - well done all!
