The annual Summer Fair was awash with sunshine, fun and lots of people to enjoy it with! Thank you to all involved in any way – special thanks to our fabulous PTA team led by Kerry and Helen. We raised over £4000!!
WOW WOW WOW…
The year 6 SATs results are in….and the children have excelled! Their results are likely to be in the top 5% in the country! We are so proud of them and ALL of their achievements over their time at Abbey Gates.
A huge thank you to the team here who have ensured everyone has achieved a personal best!
Cathy Jordan, our Y6 teacher, will be working from Monday -Thursday from September and we are thrilled to welcome Mrs Emma O’Dea back in to the fold on Fridays. Emma left us a few years ago while her children were little so it is great to have her back!
INSET DAYS 2018/19-IMPORTANT!
To help with your holiday planning and avoiding potential fines, we have attached our INSET days on to the school holidays where possible, as travel is often cheaper either side of a holiday:
Tuesday 4 September 2018
Wednesday 5 September 2018
Thursday 6 September 2018
Monday 3 June 2019
There will be one further INSET day over the year and we will confirm the date as soon as possible.
Garry is awaiting physiotherapy and we really hope he will be back in September. In the interim, Steve is doing a fabulous job.
WORLD CUP PICNIC
Thank you to all who came and supported this fun event today! Lisa, our chef, was in the kitchen from 6am today as everything was freshly prepared for your delectation!
You will soon receive your child’s report - I have enjoyed reading of their progress and achievements over the year. You can help by keeping up the reading and X tables over the summer holidays – can your child tell the time, use a knife and fork or tie their shoelaces? If not we challenge them to learn these essential skills over the holidays!
