SAVE THE DATE….

We are looking forward to Friday 13th July when we will be holding a World Cup Picnic and inviting family members to share lunchtime with us - look out for further details!

Tomorrow’s Father’s Day Breakfast looks set to be great fun! I am hugely grateful to the PTA for arranging this special event. We have listened to parents who have said that lunchtime events can be difficult when they are working so could we do a breakfast event- we do have to be mindful of restricted numbers for some events due to health and safety requirements of course.

OPERATION OUCH!

I’m sure you will be aware of this amazing CBBC programme with Dr Chris and Dr Xand!

Well, Abbey Gates will be hosting a film crew next week when they come in to meet Emilia and friends in Y5. We have shared news of Emilia’s blog “Curvy on the Inside” with you previously. Emilia is an inspiration and now her unfailingly positive outlook will be shared on national TV! We are so proud of her!

FEELING PROUD

We are also proud of Isabelle in Y3 who is the regional winner of the national Carbon Monoxide Awareness campaign. Isablle and her family will going to London for the announcement of the national winner- fingers crossed!

SENSATIONAL SOIREE

It is a real privilege to work with such talented children and adults. The soiree this evening was just wonderful! Beautiful performances from all involved- many thanks as ever to Carolyn Beedle and Sam Taylor.

GOODBYE….AND WELCOME!

We are sorry to be saying goodbye to Lucy Grace (F1) at the end of term - Lucy is leaving us to pursue her writing career and return to her roots in an infant and nursery school.

We are excited to be interviewing for a new teacher next week – we have been overwhelmed with a huge number of quality candidates and will let you know about the newest member of our team shortly. This means we will be sharing the teaching structure for September 2018 after this appointment too.

AND FINALLY-GRRRRR……

PLEASE ENSURE ALL OF YOUR CHILDREN’S CLOTHES ARE NAMED… all items look the same and it is hard to return them to their rightful owner …Sharpies work well! (Other pens are available!)
