OH NO!

The PTA are hosting a “Break the Rules day” on Friday 4th October - £2 per child. Better (worse?!) than this, children have the opportunity to be the Head and/or assistant head for the day-they just need to buy a raffle ticket.

CROSS COUNTRY

We are so proud of our cross country team who have already been successful just a few days into the season! The girl’s team won the Mansfield Harriers trophy (for the third time!). a huge well done to all who took part, including the boys who ran so well but needed more members in their team.

Miss Nash was thrilled to witness their success. Emily is still recovering from a nasty broken wrist, we are pleased to have Mrs Chetwynd and Mrs Wilson who are able to provide consistent classroom cover in her absence- get well soon Miss Nash!

FAREWELL AND THANK YOU

Both Betty Day, our midday team leader and Adam Martin, our sports coach are leaving us after sterling service, in mid-October.

Betty has been with us for 15 years and has been “head hunted” by the local gymnastics club she has supported for some time - we will miss your unfailing enthusiasm and broad smile Betty!

We have appointed Debra Kent as our midday team leader and look forward to working with her in her new role.

Adam has the opportunity to tour Australia over the next year- Ravenshead can’t compete with that sunshine!   Adam joined us as an apprentice and has gone from strength to strength, as have our sports teams. All children have enjoyed and benefited from his expertise and we will miss him! Bon Voyage!

We will be looking to appoint another apprentice after Christmas.

WANT TO JOIN THE TEAM?

We have a vacancy for a relief Midday team member- please ask in the office or see the website for more details about this crucial and rewarding role.
