The annual Summer Fair was a Cracker - awash with sunshine, fun and lots of people to enjoy it with! Thank you to all involved in any way – special thanks to our fabulous PTA team led by Kerry and Helen.
I have the opportunity to work across a number of schools and can confirm that what our PTA achieve is unique. I don’t just mean in terms of fundraising either but in ensuring there is always a range of fun events coordinated by dedicated and hardworking parents – they do not happen by magic but through teamwork and positivity. You can be part of this by coming along to our PTA AGM:
2pm Friday 19th July in the Art Room. If you can’t make it but want to know more/get involved just email the school and we’ll keep you updated.
Thank You to our event sponsors this year:
AJ School of dance
Kent PHK Ltd
The Orange Tree
East Midlands Swimming Association
WOW WOW WOW…
Anyone attending the KS2 performance of Joseph are in for a real treat. Further thanks to Mrs Jones and Mr Fallows and our own Annette Wilson for their artistic expertise with the scenery!
Our Breakfast with the Boys was great fun- thanks to Lisa and Betty in the school kitchen for super sausages! Thanks also to the team who helped run the event- you know who you are!
We are thrilled to announce that the Summers family will be welcoming a new member in the Autumn term - Congratulations!
INSET DAYS/BANK HOLIDAYS 2019/20-IMPORTANT!
To help with your holiday planning and avoiding potential fines, we have attached our INSET days on to the school holidays as travel is often cheaper either side of a holiday:
Friday 30 August 2019- SCHOOL OPENS FOR CHILDREN MONDAY 2 SEPTEMBER 2019
4 INSET DAYS - Monday-Thursday 1-4 June inclusive 2020- so the Summer half term holiday runs from Monday 25 May to Thursday 4 June – back to school Friday 5 June 2020
NATIONAL CHANGE TO BANK HOLIDAY – THIS WILL NOW BE FRIDAY 8 MAY -NOT MONDAY 4 MAY (this is to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE day)
You will soon receive your child’s report - I have enjoyed reading of their progress and achievements over the year. You can help by keeping up the reading and X tables over the summer holidays – can your child tell the time, use a knife and fork or tie their shoelaces? If not we challenge them to learn these essential skills over the holidays!
