Dear Abbey Gates Family,
We are looking forward to seeing the children during transition week - it is super that so many are able to join us and of course for those who can’t we are contacting you to prepare for September.
Speaking of September, we are busy planning to welcome everyone back and scrutinising our practice robustly and rigorously in line with the official guidance - yes, some things will be different but change is an opportunity! I want to reassure those who are anxious about returning, all children who are currently in school (around 100 of them!) are showing huge resilience and the school is full of laughter.
It is only natural to feel this anxiety - these links will take you to short books you may feel useful to use with your child/ren before transition week and/or September
We are thrilled to have appointed Lizzie Allsopp - our very own “Lizzie” whose services we have bought back for 7 years. From September, Lizzie will be employed directly by school for a full day on Thursdays. This allows her to support teachers and children with our work on feelings and relationships but also provide focused workshops for parents too.
More exciting news - we are interviewing for a sports coach to work across school from September too – lots to look forward to! We will be offering our broad and warm curriculum and as ever focusing on those basic skills which underpin learning
VIRTUAL SUMMER FAIR
You certainly don’t let wind and rain put you off! Thank you to those who sent in your pictures, watch out for the next edition of the village newsletter – we are busy sorting prizes - great face painting, baking, artwork and even a bowling alley!
