Newsletter - 5th January 2021
Posted on 5th January 2021
Although 2021 may not have got off to the best of starts we remain positive here at Abbey Gates and remember there is much to look forward to and appreciate even though this might seem hard to do some of the time.
By now you will have received information on remote learning – please remember that like yourselves, we knew nothing regarding the lockdown until 8pm last night and were holding meetings late into the night (and indeed from the early hours today!) to finalise plans for today and going forward – please bear with us, your support and encouragement is welcomed and appreciated.
The children who are attending school will be following the same timetable as those at home. As well as the daily Teams morning meet up, teachers will “check in” each week and I am looking forward to Friday assemblies too!
We understand that flexibility will be important and your children may not be able to follow the timetable exactly. All any of us can do is our best (or try to!)
All teachers and Teaching Assistant staff are timetabled all day every day and support staff are working as usual too.
LOOKING AFTER OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER…
Sometimes we all need a little extra help - the Anna Freud website provides a wide range of suggestions and support for mental health and well-being. It is easy to navigate and useful for everyone at home and school
My January newsletters share the good news of children who were our Autumn term Super Stars and this one is no different! We are proud of:
F2- George S
Y1- Ralph B
Y2 – Phoebe S
Y3 – India K
Y4 – Jack H
Y5 – Isla J
Y6 – Lilli N
Take care everyone
