Summer Holiday and INSET Day Information

Posted on 7th July 2020

You will know from the media that schools are expecting (hoping) to welcome all of our children back in September. Did you know that schools do not get any advance information from the DfE/central government – we know when you know.

We have begun to prepare for this and ensuring we are Covid secure. We hope the booklets sent previously in our last newsletter are helpful. The DfE have provided a guide for parents with more information – the link is below

We will, as usual, be taking INSET days at the start of September for staff training and school will reopen for children on Friday 4 September.

We still await updated guidance on provision of before and after school clubs - at the moment it appears that we can provide this with our partner Longdale but children should remain in the same “bubbles” all day – it might be that only one year group can access the provision in the first instance but we scour information every day and will keep you updated.

You may have heard, as have we, that the government have announced there will be funding for “catch up” programmes - there have been no further announcements regarding this so again we will keep you updated.

In the meantime, we are ready and excited to welcome children back for our transition week!

Take Care all

KATE CUMBERPATCH
